<ul>
<li>First of all we recapped how to create the ink background. Then we applied water by flicking and through a stencil to lift some of the ink.</li>
<li>Then it was a light spray of the ink, to get some darker colour spots on the background.</li>
<li>Then using the coordinating dark dylusion paint, stamped some texture onto the main page.</li>
<li>Then we applied highlights of white gesso, using wallpaper technique (Seth Apter has a demo online about this)</li>
<li>Then stamped the word Fashion (Inkydoodles stitched tile alphabet) and the border (Dylusion Stamp)..</li>
<li>Then stamped the lady image (Dylusion stamps) on the main page and on a mop up page. Overstamped the dress and hat on the mop-up page with script and cut them out.</li>
<li>Using the Groovi system (Clarity Stamp), created two heads with hats on parchment and coloured them in and cut them out.</li>
<li>Stuck everything on the main page.</li>
<li>Lifted the ink out of the fashion tiles so they could be read and put dark grey line around two sides of the tiles.</li>
<li>Stamped the words (Dimension Stamps).</li>
<li>Added the peel-off stars.</li>
</ul>

Then we flicked water over these backgrounds to lift the ink and create a ghost.<br />
<br />
Later on, we created the journey page below, using Visible Image Stamps and Dylusion Border stamps.<br />

<br />
After the lunch break we made a start on the following three cards.<br />
<br />
Card 1 - This was a revision of a waterfall card - papers and mechanism all downloaded from Craftsuprint.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6U3kXXs-Br71hF_mJDHyRbHrn3D4WPDWzQGjX-e9mtex9z4jr45luc-w5V_oKxt93zDOdRtb4PEQeGyI8VF9WZZDSXqwYdI-QZizN8DsDYhLnbaYBh6o_CzbA2v-n8UTscLncxZJZEQ/s1600/water.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6U3kXXs-Br71hF_mJDHyRbHrn3D4WPDWzQGjX-e9mtex9z4jr45luc-w5V_oKxt93zDOdRtb4PEQeGyI8VF9WZZDSXqwYdI-QZizN8DsDYhLnbaYBh6o_CzbA2v-n8UTscLncxZJZEQ/s320/water.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Card 2 - I was going through my old craft magazines and taking out the bits that I wanted to kept. When I came across the papers to make this card. So the were still on the card-making and papercraft website, so I could download them and print them on better paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

First of all we gesso'd the bottles, before adding colour and paper transfers. Also decoupaged some glasses and added tea lights to them.<br />

Wished I had seen these bottles of Hels Sheridan before the class.<br />

<br />
I am still trying to decide how to finish them off.<br />
<br />
Create - background created by using a bit of cut'n'dry foam and loading up with colour on the end of the foam, and then swiping from the centre of the mask outwards.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvYMDmRcTbMAupqzBtygHAMmLs2XMcv13yQBCUa_YIkn9cMhi6WJkcg8dvINBzJ2RNyRQ2kTx5YNOa6MeBvRzdxg4yjtyi946qax1lwxg8djGMfcruMWhNpDgKqF_5hed4ZYXJNVJUDw/s1600/create.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvYMDmRcTbMAupqzBtygHAMmLs2XMcv13yQBCUa_YIkn9cMhi6WJkcg8dvINBzJ2RNyRQ2kTx5YNOa6MeBvRzdxg4yjtyi946qax1lwxg8djGMfcruMWhNpDgKqF_5hed4ZYXJNVJUDw/s320/create.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Used a brush to create the stripes over the mask. Do I colour the birds or paper piece them or what? Take extra care with the Sing masks, most of mine have lost their S's due to mask breakage, what letters could I add 'ing' to?</div>
<br />

This is a skinny sent to me in a swap - they used Leonie's Stamps and Mask. (Skinny is a piece of work 3 inches by 6 inches)<br />

I have been stocking up over the years on the products that Tim uses on his tags, so that I can have a play with them, but have never got round to it.<br />
<br />
So this month brought all the materials I had and made the January 2016 tag plus the two tags that Tim linked to this tag.<br />

Tags not identical to Tim's as had to modify the designs, as I found that I had two alarm clock dies and not one alarm clock and one stopwatch. Also did not want the alarm clock on two tags out of the three, when I mounted them on my A4 Canvas board.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi9wXGZ0ngK9cM5v1AAZCzxEN5SccX60nc9LG3ODGN8QcJydPh-nOMfUwRFjU65UKUZIh_QpcZXm0vToUYwkT0CugTI_SdxihdOsls8oxKMsfMpkhk6dfmbWEKJh-i5rRd2mwldJ0aJA/s1600/P1020263.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi9wXGZ0ngK9cM5v1AAZCzxEN5SccX60nc9LG3ODGN8QcJydPh-nOMfUwRFjU65UKUZIh_QpcZXm0vToUYwkT0CugTI_SdxihdOsls8oxKMsfMpkhk6dfmbWEKJh-i5rRd2mwldJ0aJA/s320/P1020263.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
While explaining to the class how to get this clock, I made the following clock.<br />

Everyone bought along stamps, peel-offs and paper etc, that linked in with the theme of Music. I brought along cards or images of cards that I had created over the last 12-18 months for inspiration. Everyone then did what they wanted.<br />

Great for male birthdays. Made the three scenes and then chose which two to put together on the card.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5roFqoMGiSnS3QW5Ql5ZkiqiWWqtIynSOu3slBpOaLF77m6jr4wbOjhNmDLCrqHxZ1b7jnSVXgZT0QHGW2Pqr_u8DyNThFJcAbvr8Ho6rWw6fg-QxE3H0evS1hIV6pPv9n1RKXdIZsg/s1600/P1010794.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5roFqoMGiSnS3QW5Ql5ZkiqiWWqtIynSOu3slBpOaLF77m6jr4wbOjhNmDLCrqHxZ1b7jnSVXgZT0QHGW2Pqr_u8DyNThFJcAbvr8Ho6rWw6fg-QxE3H0evS1hIV6pPv9n1RKXdIZsg/s320/P1010794.JPG" width="316" /></a></div>
<br />
This first class project involved drawing round the stencil in black and then zentangling the various areas.<br />
The stencil was the Flame frame from Clarity Stamps. I wanted to put a zentangle stamped image in the centre, but I did not have one, so I used a stamp from Clarity Stamps that I could make look like it had been zentangled.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbvMwBVQEmVjBLtsGV8mj77YirQrQeoomnZSfL4iDIFvNBSrm6UXYfmZZBFD_SeNlU5RH8MwEGljXxJs4TuzbDuVyvHw-Q5lkEhd-52pbKIvEqIUxq2JUsBcxVlGARYZLn_jBUt9K_VA/s1600/P1010795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbvMwBVQEmVjBLtsGV8mj77YirQrQeoomnZSfL4iDIFvNBSrm6UXYfmZZBFD_SeNlU5RH8MwEGljXxJs4TuzbDuVyvHw-Q5lkEhd-52pbKIvEqIUxq2JUsBcxVlGARYZLn_jBUt9K_VA/s320/P1010795.JPG" width="253" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The second class project involved drawing round the stencil in white pen. The tree stencil was from Imagination Crafts. The deer stamp from Clarity Stamps. The background was created by using the "handmade paper effect" texture cube. I really wanted the dies cuts to be ivy, but I did not have those dies - however they arrived in time for the class and the members cards looked much better for it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTQ571PngVjtBZJUHEHNAGXAG2PbxFgtTy-75eA6-EosIMItXFLXcNPmq8zBbLeWLBNMy7z2CZHyidSQZt3Ew_8NOnXr77sYiNX-sAD-DRFAy9YsEsRSeTwF5Q8pmfZ1X3C_U-jQUrnA/s1600/P1010799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTQ571PngVjtBZJUHEHNAGXAG2PbxFgtTy-75eA6-EosIMItXFLXcNPmq8zBbLeWLBNMy7z2CZHyidSQZt3Ew_8NOnXr77sYiNX-sAD-DRFAy9YsEsRSeTwF5Q8pmfZ1X3C_U-jQUrnA/s320/P1010799.JPG" width="317" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This card sums up what I enjoy about making cards and that is using products from different companies and bringing it all together to make a card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The stencil is from Clarity Stamps, and I have just drawn round with a black pen. The lady and small individual flower stamps are from ........... and the square stamp of three flowers is a freebie stamp from Craft Stamper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Whilst I was talking the class through the making of the above card, I made the card below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKP7AmniVGbRW9-wuP8Ids8uUXUTKlLwzIYnlwRLFBYujjSUVi65jKrpZFp_8lLpa6pWjN_CDDVYSY0SM32PIpnCiJQ07j5Ph120-T2RREbYMJaERffz_Sk2xd42YmzeirX4j1r4_egQ/s1600/P1010800.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKP7AmniVGbRW9-wuP8Ids8uUXUTKlLwzIYnlwRLFBYujjSUVi65jKrpZFp_8lLpa6pWjN_CDDVYSY0SM32PIpnCiJQ07j5Ph120-T2RREbYMJaERffz_Sk2xd42YmzeirX4j1r4_egQ/s320/P1010800.JPG" width="311" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Then finally we made the following card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Firstly the lady of choice was stamped - she is from a Debbi Moore stamp set, she came with the circle frame as part of the stamp. Then several different circle stencils were used to draw circle round the stamped images - every range of stencils seems to have one or two made up of just circles of different circles. The other stamped images and sentiments come from a Phill Martin set of stamps.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Note not all the circles are coloured in.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The first card involved stamping onto a double sided adhesive sheet, applying gilding flakes on one side and ice snow on the other. The stamp is from Chocolate Baroque. Important that the gilding flakes used for the cloud has a little bit of colour in it - so it looks like leaves blowing in the wind off the trees. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The second card was modified after sending the email out with the class details, as I was not satisfied with the centre topper greeting.</div>

<br />
Modified version.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is another card, instead of use ice snow for the ice part, an adhesive glitter sheet (from Little Claire was used), and everthing was below the die cut.<br />

A chance to play with our newly purchase stamps from Woodware. The backgrounds were created using Phill Martin's spray ink misters from Cosmic Shimmer - these do not contain mica so should not become blocked.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zxNWNgL_nJQ/VNe8afsaDzI/AAAAAAAAAsw/-ZCc38fDjl0/s1600/Feb1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" closure_lm_60082="null" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zxNWNgL_nJQ/VNe8afsaDzI/AAAAAAAAAsw/-ZCc38fDjl0/s1600/Feb1.jpg" height="320" qta="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Used Phill Martin's Graceful Mustard for the spritzed background and the PVA pearls (from Cosmic Shimmer). The backing mat and bow are in Squeezed Lemonade (Tim Holtz Distressed Inks)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kb6-CzNtKI8/VNe8X14YR8I/AAAAAAAAAsg/aVtt274ZJfw/s1600/Feb2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" closure_lm_60082="null" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kb6-CzNtKI8/VNe8X14YR8I/AAAAAAAAAsg/aVtt274ZJfw/s1600/Feb2.jpg" height="320" qta="true" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This time the backing mat is some Taupe Pearlised card and the bow is Graceful Mustard.</div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SIWyTGrmAuI/VNe8Xr4iPjI/AAAAAAAAAsc/2xnqmnVq8iM/s1600/Feb3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SIWyTGrmAuI/VNe8Xr4iPjI/AAAAAAAAAsc/2xnqmnVq8iM/s320/Feb3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Spritzed background and PVA pearls are again from Phill's Cosmic Shimmer Graceful range - Lavender</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Leaf colouring and green mat are promarkers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2uUCHU_VsoE/VNe8ZpXdEBI/AAAAAAAAAso/laopd89rn6U/s1600/Feb4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2uUCHU_VsoE/VNe8ZpXdEBI/AAAAAAAAAso/laopd89rn6U/s320/Feb4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Spritzed Background is Vintage Berry, the red mat and shading on the topper are Aged Mahogany.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Spritzed leaves are Graceful Mint - paper piecing was used to "colour" leaves.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs60uO3KTmnHdU0L8OP3XykXMj1f_Lm5zALwWO45wQ-0H4kEaBJudfMJQZD6_hdfJus7Z-sjpcaZOCVvqm0TlPnyUFIuF00s2dtXUPex1if-tD6C7h9duszhaDnZGYEdlj-ZGwvYwciA/s1600/P1010657.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs60uO3KTmnHdU0L8OP3XykXMj1f_Lm5zALwWO45wQ-0H4kEaBJudfMJQZD6_hdfJus7Z-sjpcaZOCVvqm0TlPnyUFIuF00s2dtXUPex1if-tD6C7h9duszhaDnZGYEdlj-ZGwvYwciA/s1600/P1010657.JPG" height="320" width="314" /></a></div>
<br />
Using Cut 'n' Dry Felt and Tim Holtz Distress Stains, firstly we created a stamp pad for a particular floral stamp. Different colourways for the two flower stamps (both from Clarity Stamps)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdmglrEBgCsvLfLfEvyinOjOfslTw0ZMl9kY3kdelWSTlyXnKgmG0-De6sSYYyxmsbThXLQvJt5iU7ZEa5IB__AfuUDDzBStsu5XsVucLGZHSu1hO6Kfvohh3-QLHLNCiJMhx2F_BxBQ/s1600/P1010659.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdmglrEBgCsvLfLfEvyinOjOfslTw0ZMl9kY3kdelWSTlyXnKgmG0-De6sSYYyxmsbThXLQvJt5iU7ZEa5IB__AfuUDDzBStsu5XsVucLGZHSu1hO6Kfvohh3-QLHLNCiJMhx2F_BxBQ/s1600/P1010659.JPG" height="319" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCnILyrjREd-hTX-cELM71sPmitjCoCvDIsgEifV2CFCwrCImNAcIr0A0yY7VhYbg9g7Ua1IAgepV0WGVfkeDDvX2GzSmSQw5tbcFj9VL8K5fVH3XmUio0ROYFTHjgK9bRCoFBcYZpxg/s1600/P1010658.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCnILyrjREd-hTX-cELM71sPmitjCoCvDIsgEifV2CFCwrCImNAcIr0A0yY7VhYbg9g7Ua1IAgepV0WGVfkeDDvX2GzSmSQw5tbcFj9VL8K5fVH3XmUio0ROYFTHjgK9bRCoFBcYZpxg/s1600/P1010658.JPG" height="318" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Then we went on to create a random multicolour (3 colours) stamp pad - not striped.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVHMACeO_dVAR9tNiCXrrlxrcuzoYVk-Rwp8GTtsCdZyJoPYQ7wD9pfBEatq1caLr8zQdq8G23bxFjppnvA5R7GRdMavHLLv7aLwyCaNSkgIJThCJO_rIWGlzyEzf6lbsWe22P8MHxhw/s1600/P1010741.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVHMACeO_dVAR9tNiCXrrlxrcuzoYVk-Rwp8GTtsCdZyJoPYQ7wD9pfBEatq1caLr8zQdq8G23bxFjppnvA5R7GRdMavHLLv7aLwyCaNSkgIJThCJO_rIWGlzyEzf6lbsWe22P8MHxhw/s1600/P1010741.JPG" height="320" width="316" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The leaves and the saying are from a Clarity Stamp set, the lady walking is from Little Claire.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To create the ink pads we used cut'n'dry and Tim Holtz Distress Re-inkers.</div>

First time people had used a rule for a stamping block - the bottom grass stamp would not fit on anything else.<br />
<br />
All down on watercolour paper. This lesson gave us the opportunity to compare the different types of watercolour paper we had in our stashes and what worked and what did not.<br />

(need to add another picutre here)<br />

The project sample</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Background stamped on tissue (cosmetic) paper and painted on with wax. Paper roses cut out, inked around the edges, made up and dipped in clear UTEE. Leaves stamped, scrunched and flattened out, wiped over with ink and also dipped in UTEE. Butterfly stained with metallic distress in, and then tripled embossed with embossing powder (two clear layers and one glitter layer). To get the texture in the corners apply a layer of was through sequin waste.</div>
