August 2017 - Russia

Used the stamps and stencil with a theme of Russia - Mainly the Chocolate Baroque ones, but other lines have produced their own.  Also a couple of the crafting magazines have had some downloads on this theme.

March 2017 - Adding Gesso Highlights

  • First of all we recapped how to create the ink background.  Then we applied water by flicking and through a stencil to lift some of the ink.
  • Then it was a light spray of the ink, to get some darker colour spots on the background.
  • Then using the coordinating dark dylusion paint, stamped some texture onto the main page.
  • Then we applied highlights of white gesso, using wallpaper technique (Seth Apter has a demo online about this)
  • Then stamped the word Fashion (Inkydoodles stitched tile alphabet) and the border (Dylusion Stamp)..
  • Then stamped the lady image (Dylusion stamps) on the main page and on a mop up page.  Overstamped the dress and hat on the mop-up page with script and cut them out.
  • Using the Groovi system (Clarity Stamp), created two heads with hats on parchment and coloured them in and cut them out.
  • Stuck everything on the main page.
  • Lifted the ink out of the fashion tiles so they could be read and put dark grey line around two sides of the tiles.
  • Stamped the words (Dimension Stamps).
  • Added the peel-off stars.

January 2017 - Inks and Ghosting

This month we played around with Dylusion ink sprays and various types of paper (Dylusion Journal, Stamping Card, Watercolour card etc). Then we flicked water over these backgrounds to lift the ink and create a ghost.

Later on, we created the journey page below, using Visible Image Stamps and Dylusion Border stamps.

November 5th - Travel

First of all this month we played with creating backgrounds for the Hot Air Balloon cards we will be making next month, so that they had time to dry before the class finished.

After the lunch break we made a start on the following three cards.

Card 1 - This was a revision of a waterfall card - papers and mechanism all downloaded from Craftsuprint.

Card 2 - I was going through my old craft magazines and taking out the bits that I wanted to kept.  When I came across the papers to make this card.  So the were still on the card-making and papercraft website, so I could download them and print them on better paper.

Card 3 - This was a shape of card I came across whilst searching the internet for inspiration one day.  It was a shape that no-one in the group had made before.

Sept 3rd - Mixed Media

A change to the published schedule. The group saw what I had created at workshop with Julia Watts and wanted to have a go themselves.  The following three images are Julia's.

This next one is mine from Julia's workshop.

Decided to be more ambitious with the one at craft class.

Only got as far as getting the layout of the bits.
